A unique integrated approach to sport
qualifications is followed by the department and
enables students to select from a wide range of
sport qualifications.
Human Movement Studies, a major subject that
complies with the requirements of the Biokinetics
Association of South Africa, provides students with
foundational knowledge and skills to operate in
various sectors of the sport industry. This
approach ensures that all our sport programmes
offer students flexible study paths. Studying sport
at the University of Johannesburg will not only
give you access to internationally endorsed
qualifications, but also prepare you for an
exciting and rewarding career in sport.

Sport Bursaries
Sport bursaries are available to
prospective students who have performed extremely
well in their specific sport codes. More

UJ Institute for Biokinetics and Sport Science
The UJ Institute for Biokinetics and
Sport Science on UJ's Bunting Road campus offers
biokinetic and sport science related services to
students, staff and the public. The Institute is
open from 07:00 to 18:00 weekdays (17:00 on
Fridays). For more information or to book an
